Conference 2017

In a little over a month we will all meet together to explore ‘Conflicts in History’. We had a fabulous response to our call for papers, and we can tell you that all of our delegates will see some amazing papers at our 14th Annual Conference.

Between the 16th and 17th June, postgraduates from Scotland and Europe will explore conflicts across historical periods, themes and methodologies. Our delegates will also see an excellent keynote from Sarah Browne, the Heritage Project Coordinator for Scottish Women’s Aid on Conflict and Women’s History.

Historical Perspectives has also organised a special panel, ‘Finishing your thesis and the VIVA’, where three speakers will share their experiences, offer advice and answer your questions about those final few months and VIVA examination.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone, and there will even be an opportunity for you to get involved in the Historical Perspectives Postgraduate Society itself.

Please register to reserve your place through our Eventbrite page.

The conference fee is £30, payable by cheque to ‘Historical Perspectives’ – please post your cheque to: Dominic Reed, Economic and Social History, Lilybank House, University of Glasgow, G12 8RT.
