Costs and Conferences

We’d be really interested in hearing what our members think about the discussion below. At times it can feel like you have to pick and choose which events you can attend, which can feel like we’re at a bit of a disadvantage in a profession where networking is so important. Clearly this affect isn’t confined to certain ‘classes’ of institutions, if you’ll allow the term.

Have any emerging or established researchers felt as though opportunities for advancement, networking, disseminating research or events (etc., etc.) have been denied them simply because of cost?

We’d love to see your comments either on twitter, facebook or in the comments section.
